Gustav Holst wrote one of the most hauntingly beautiful Christmas hymns of all time, “In the Bleak Midwinter.”  

I have always loved this tune, and was determined to arrange my own version focusing on the beauty of the tune and the imagery of winter, hence the title, “Snow on Snow.”  This arrangment is very playable (technique wise), but will require breath support, tone control, and intonation skill found in more complex pieces.  I hope that your musicians and your audience will be moved by this powerful arrangment of “In the Bleak Midwinter.”
